The workshop
Rentals
The workshop provides a rental service which offers a wide range of instruments :
- 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 sized double basses specially set up for children. The basses comes with a cover and bow ;
- 3/4 and 4/4 sized double basses for adults. The basses comes with a cover and bow ;
- soloist and concert double basses set up with or without a pick-up
All the instruments are prepared and adjusted in the workshop before rental.
We also offer a ‘rent to buy’ option .
Buying an instrument
In addition to my master basses I also prepare and sell other instruments.
I have selected two types of double basses for their sound potential and structural qualities. I prepare and adjust the instruments to maximize their musicality and to offer the musician greater ease of play. I shape and dress the fingerboard and I carve my own bridge for each instrument. On the upper range of these double basses, I inlay French style tuners.
The instruments are appreciated by professors and teachers as well as musicians from both the classical and jazz world.
Accessories
A wide choice of strings is available : Thomastick, Pirastro, Corelli, Jargar, Velvet …
I have chosen to supply Carbow carbon bows for their exceptional mechanical qualities and excellent musicality.
I provide a wide range of Mooradian covers both standard and deluxe.
